The Ed Media Lab is led by Dr. Darnel Degand (Associate Professor at the University of California,Davis). Our projects focus on three primary research strands:

- Investigating how social interactions and media consumption experiences in and out of school influence social success and aspirations.
- Examining the creative processes, social interactions, and professional experiences of members of underrepresented groups within media production spaces and the various ways stereotypes influence their lives.
- Producing research-informed media and technologies for formal, nonformal, and informal learning experiences.
